Who We Are
Our History
Slingshot Product Development Group was founded in 2001 by Sam Zaidspiner. Sam's vision was to create a new kind of company that took a more holistic approach to creating and launching products. Co-founders Noah McNeely and George Hatzilias joined Sam and the groundwork for a vertically integrated "one stop shop" started in a small executive suite.
Today, Slingshot consists of over 35 product development professionals. Our experienced staff has a variety of disciplines and many employees hold numerous degrees. Our core expertise is in the fields of Industrial Design, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Materials Science and Chemistry, Computer Science and Software Development, and Graphic Design. Our 12,000 square-foot facility includes office space, a brainstorming area, conference rooms with web conferencing capabilities, and a full model shop with room for small volume production. Some of the companies that have innovated with us are The Coca-Cola Company, Georgia Pacific, Black & Decker, The Isonics Corporation, and many more. In addition to US companies, Slingshot has also innovated internationally with companies in the United Kingdom, China, India, and Kuwait, among other countries.
Slingshot believes that our true value comes from the strength of our employees. We have been able to meet and exceed the high standards of our clients due to our personal commitment to excellent service. As the company grows, we continue to embrace the three values that Slingshot was founded on:

Slingshot has also been a proud participant in co-op programs at Georgia Tech and other notable schools. Many of our co-op students have also joined as full time employees upon graduation.
In 2003 Slingshot diversified our services to provide organized focus and expertise in each of the different markets that our clients represented. The company launched three corporate divisions: Consumer Products, Medical Devices, and Military/Security Devices. During this time we stayed faithful to our heritage by simultaneously creating a Start-up Division to support Inventors and Entrepreneurs.
To serve the entire product launch needs of our clients, we created Slingshot Products, LLC in November 2007. Through Slingshot Products we can provide several critical services for Start-ups. These services are focused on two key areas: Slingshot Products helps entrepreneurs validate their programs through product viability assessments. Additionally, our services help inventors, manufacturers, and distributors get their products placed in major retail stores and catalogs.
In March 2008 we launched Slingshot Global, a joint venture with East West Manufacturing, LLC, to create a design, engineering, and prototyping office in Shenzhen, China. The Slingshot Global partnership will reduce overall project costs and development time, improve quality control, and optimize manufacturing costs for our clients with high volume products.
Slingshot has completed over one-thousand projects ranging from revolutionary clothespins to complex chemical sniffers used for detecting explosives. Whether we are working with a single inventor, a major consumer products company, or a multi-billion dollar defense contractor our goal remains the same: To grow our client's revenue through successful development and launch of innovative products that meet market needs. We are continually moving forward by growing and expanding our services as we strive to provide you with all of your product development needs!
