I love to see ideas come to life. I receive great reward in seeing a product on the shelves that I helped launch, and even greater satisfaction in showing people how to get it there.
Major Accomplishments
Worked on the Space Shuttle as a leading expert in 3d scanning and taught NASA engineers how to scan shuttle tiles.
Invented a new "MJM Rapid Tooling" technique for producing plastic injection molds 80% cheaper than previously possible and in less than half the time.
Helped invent breakthrough new 3d scanning technology while at Georgia Tech and then commercialized it via Paraform, a startup built around 3d scanning. Helped raise 20M in venture capital from Vulcan Ventures and Silicon Valley Bank and quickly became a leading CAD software company.
