Coca-Cola: Subway Merchandising System

Slingshot industrial designers and engineers worked in conjunction with the Coca Cola Company and Leggett and Platt to design and develop a sophisticated drink chilling rack for Subway restaurants. The overall goal of the program was to increase sales of value meals and bottled drinks by placing the products within easy reach of consumers.

Through a broad exploration of both active (powered) and passive cooling systems, the Slingshot team identified a viable solution that met Subway's performance, cost, and marketing goals. Slingshot's team contributed to the program through industrial design and engineering conceptualization, engineering analysis and experimentation, selecting and commissioning pilot production sources, performance testing, and field testing of the product.
