Char-Broil BTO Project

Slingshot assisted Charbroil with the design and development of a series of propane grills. This intense program included detailed design and engineering for 12 different grill hoods, and a number of handles.

One challenge of the program was the requirement that the parts be modular. The client's needs dictated that each grill hood and handle would have to work with any of the grills in the product line. Because of the significant form and design differences from hood to hood, the modularity requirement led Slingshot to develop numerous design and engineering innovations.
